broadcastdomein
A broadcastdomein, in networking terms, is a logical network segment in which broadcast frames are propagated to all devices. Within a single broadcastdomein, any device that sends a broadcast at the data link layer will have that frame delivered to every other device in the same domain. By design, routers do not forward Layer 2 broadcasts, which means that broadcast traffic is confined to the domain boundaries created by routers or other Layer 3 devices.
In Ethernet networks, switches forward frames based on MAC addresses, but they do not by themselves separate
The size of a broadcastdomein affects network performance. Large, flat networks with few or no VLANs generate
Management and design considerations include implementing VLANs to partition broadcastdomeinen, configuring trunk links for inter-VLAN traffic,
