Brachiocefalických refers to a condition characterized by a short and broad head shape. In medical contexts, it is often used to describe brachycephaly, a skull deformity where the skull is abnormally short from front to back and wide from side to side. This can occur congenitally, meaning present at birth, or it can develop postnatally.

Congenital brachycephaly can be associated with various genetic syndromes, such as Apert syndrome or Crouzon syndrome, and may involve premature fusion of the cranial sutures (craniosynostosis). When sutures fuse too early, it can restrict normal brain growth and lead to abnormal skull shape. In other cases, brachycephaly can be positional, developing due to the infant's head being consistently held in one position, often seen in infants who spend a lot of time on their backs.
