Bezkontaktní is a Czech adjective meaning “without contact.” It describes technologies, systems or processes that operate at a short distance without requiring physical touch between devices. The term is widely used for payment, identification and ticketing applications that rely on short-range wireless communication.

Bezkontaktní platební systémy typically use near-field communication (NFC) or RFID to authorize a transaction when a card or mobile device is held near a reader. In Czech usage you will encounter bezkontaktní platba, bezkontaktní karta or bezkontaktní identifikace. Bezkontaktní lösystems are also used for access control, public transport tickets and loyalty programs, enabling transactions or verifications without inserting or swiping a card.

Security and privacy considerations are central to bezkontaktní technologies. The communication is generally protected by cryptographic protocols and often tokenization, with the device or card providing authentication.
