Manufacturing materials vary: glass and crystal for transparency and elegance; ceramic or porcelain for everyday use; metal for durability and insulation; plastic for travel or cost-sensitive contexts. Lead crystal, once common in luxury glassware, is restricted in many jurisdictions.
