Typical avustustyön activities include rapid emergency response, logistics and supply chain management, health services, nutrition programs, water and sanitation, shelter construction, education, protection of vulnerable groups, and support for refugees and internally displaced persons. Coordinated responses often follow humanitarian principles: humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence, while integrating risk assessment, local participation, and respect for international humanitarian law.
