Astabiili, also known as astabilization, is a technique used in photography and videography to minimize the effects of camera shake and produce sharper images. The term is derived from the words "anti-shake" and "stabilization." This method is particularly useful in low-light conditions or when using longer focal lengths, where the risk of camera shake is higher.

There are several types of astabiili systems:

1. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS): This system uses a series of lenses and prisms to counteract the movement of the camera. It is typically found in high-end cameras and lenses.

2. Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS): This method uses sensors and algorithms to detect and correct camera shake in real-time. It is often used in digital cameras and camcorders.

3. Mechanical Image Stabilization (MIS): This system uses a gyroscope to detect camera movement and a series of mirrors to counteract it. It is commonly found in action cameras.

4. In-body Image Stabilization (IBIS): This is a type of mechanical stabilization that is built into the camera body itself, rather than the lens.

Astabiili systems can significantly improve image quality by reducing blur caused by camera shake. However, they are not a substitute for a stable tripod or a steady hand, and may not be effective in all situations, such as when shooting fast-moving subjects or in very low-light conditions.
