Analysemetoden is the Swedish term for the analytic method used in research to examine data and draw conclusions. It refers to the overall strategy, procedures, and techniques applied to analyze collected information, and it should match the study’s aims, data type, and design.

Analytic approaches can be broadly categorized as qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods. Quality criteria differ by tradition: qualitative analyses emphasize credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability; quantitative analyses emphasize validity, reliability, and statistical conclusion validity. Triangulation, reflexivity, and an audit trail are common strategies to enhance trustworthiness.

Common tools include CAQDAS software for qualitative analysis (eg, NVivo, MAXQDA) and statistical packages for quantitative work (eg, SPSS, R, Python). The choice of analysemetoden shapes interpretation and the robustness of study conclusions.
