Zwemboeien
A zwemboei, also known as a swim buoy or tow float, is a brightly colored inflatable device attached to a swimmer's waist via a short tether. Its primary purpose is to enhance visibility in open water, making the swimmer more noticeable to boaters, surfers, and other water users, thereby increasing safety. The bright colors, often fluorescent orange, yellow, or pink, make the zwemboei highly conspicuous against the water.
Beyond visibility, zwemboeien can serve as a flotation aid for tired swimmers. In the event of fatigue
Zwemboeien are commonly used by swimmers in lakes, rivers, and the ocean, particularly during open water swimming
