Robotic process automation (RPA) focuses on automating repetitive, rule-based tasks at the user interface level and is often used alongside workflow automation. BPMN 2.0 is a widely used modeling notation for designing workflows, while integration relies on APIs, web services, and data formats such as JSON and XML.

Deployment options include cloud-based, on-premises, or hybrid environments. Typical use cases span IT service management, employee onboarding, invoice and expense processing, customer relationship management automation, supply chain replenishment, and marketing campaign orchestration.
