Worddokumenter
Worddokumenter is a term commonly used in Scandinavian languages to refer to documents created with Microsoft Word, a widely used word-processing application. These documents store formatted text as well as embedded objects such as images, tables, charts, hyperlinks and annotations. Historically Microsoft Word used the proprietary .doc binary format until 2007, when the application adopted the XML-based .docx format as part of the Office Open XML (OOXML) standard (ISO/IEC 29500). Both .doc and .docx remain recognizable by many office suites.
