Woodcolored is a descriptive term used in color naming to refer to hues that resemble the color of natural wood. It is not a standardized color with a fixed value; rather, it denotes a family of brownish tones that designers use to convey warmth, natural materials, and rustic or traditional aesthetics. The woodcolored palette spans a broad range—from light beige and honey to deep chocolate and espresso—often with warm yellow or red undertones and, less commonly, cool gray undertones depending on the wood species and finish.

In practice, woodcolored hues derive from real wood species such as oak, maple, pine, walnut, cherry, and mahogany. Each species exhibits distinct undertones and grain patterns, and finishes such as matte, satin, or glossy varnish can alter the perceived hue. When reproduced digitally or in print, woodcolored tones can vary with lighting, display calibration, and material texture, making swatches important for accurate matching.
