Wettingen

Wettingen is a municipality in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It is located in the Limmat Valley, approximately 10 kilometers northwest of Zurich. Wettingen is the second-largest municipality in Aargau by population and is an important residential and economic center.

The history of Wettingen dates back to Roman times, with archaeological findings indicating early settlements. A significant historical landmark is the former Wettingen Abbey, a Cistercian monastery founded in the 13th century.
