Wakis
Wakis is a term that can refer to several different things, most commonly a type of short sword historically used by the samurai class in Japan. It was generally shorter than a katana, with a blade length ranging from 30 to 60 centimeters. The construction of a wakizashi was similar to that of a katana, involving folding and tempering steel to create a strong yet flexible blade.
