Växlingsspreads
Växlingsspreads, often translated as exchange rate spreads, refers to the difference between the buying and selling rates of a currency. In the foreign exchange market, financial institutions like banks and currency exchange bureaus quote two prices for each currency pair. The higher price is the selling rate, at which the institution sells its currency (or buys the other currency). The lower price is the buying rate, at which the institution buys its currency (or sells the other currency). The spread is the margin between these two rates.
