Veetorustik is a design philosophy and architectural style that blends geometric vector-based form with rustic, tactile materials. It emphasizes modular construction, energy efficiency, and the juxtaposition of precise mathematical shapes with natural textures.

Originating in the early 21st century among designers in Northern Europe, the term combines "vector" and "rustic" to reflect its focus on abstraction tempered by material warmth. It arose from a trend toward sustainable, human-scale design and the reuse of local materials.

Key characteristics include angular, rectilinear massing; orthogonal grids and plan symmetry; façades that mix timber, stone, brick, and exposed metal; and surfaces finished with natural oils or waxes. Construction favors prefabricated modules and simple connections to reduce waste. Lighting is often optimized for daylight and passive solar gain, with attention to thermal mass.

Veetorustik is applied to single-family houses, small apartment blocks, interior concepts, and public spaces. Typical projects feature compact footprints, elevated plinths or terraces, and a visible structural framework that blends with rustic cladding.

Reception has been mixed. Proponents praise its sustainable potential, material warmth, and distinctive, modern look. Critics argue that, if misapplied, the style can feel cold or overly technical and may require careful detailing to avoid harsh contrasts.
