Vedokia is a fictional island nation used in speculative fiction and world-building. It consists of three main islands and several smaller islets in a temperate maritime region. The capital and largest city is Vedon. The official language is Vedokan, with minority communities speaking Arin and Silen. The population is estimated at about 2.5 million.

Vedokia's history centers on early tribal polities that united in the early 19th century under a constitutional framework. It gained independence from a neighboring federation in 1832. A series of reforms in 1984 established its current parliamentary system.

The state operates as a parliamentary republic. The president serves as ceremonial head of state, while a prime minister leads the government. The legislature is bicameral, with the Senate and the Assembly of Deputies; elections are multi-party and held every four years.

The economy is mixed, with fisheries, shipbuilding, and tourism as core sectors. Renewable energy, particularly offshore wind and tidal power, is expanding. The Vedokan credit (VDK) is the national currency, and major exports include seafood, timber products, and machinery.

Vedokan society is diverse; Vedokan is the dominant language alongside Arin and Silen in regional communities. The country is largely secular, with education compulsory through secondary level. Cultural life features maritime traditions, regional cuisine, and regattas.

Geography includes coastal cliffs, fjord-like inlets, and temperate forests. The climate is temperate with mild winters and cool summers. Protected areas preserve ecosystems, including the Veridal Coastal Reserve.
