Uppmäts is a Swedish term that has been adopted as the name of a software platform focused on data collection, visualization, and statistical analysis for municipal and regional planning. The system was launched in early 2020 by a consortium of public agencies and private developers in Sweden, with the aim of providing standardized tools for measuring and monitoring urban development, infrastructure projects, and environmental indicators.

The platform integrates geographic information system (GIS) data, sensor inputs, and survey results, allowing users to create custom dashboards and generate reports that comply with national standards for public sector data handling. Its open‑source core is written in Python and JavaScript, while a modular architecture permits extensions for specific domains such as traffic management, waste collection, and energy consumption.

Uppmäts gained recognition for its role in several pilot projects across Swedish municipalities, where it facilitated real‑time monitoring of construction progress and supported evidence‑based decision‑making. The platform also adheres to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), offering built‑in anonymisation features for personal data.
