University Louaize (UL) is a private research university located in the town of Louaize. Established in 1999 by a coalition of educators, business leaders, and community stakeholders, UL seeks to combine liberal arts education with applied research. The campus comprises teaching and research facilities, libraries, housing, and recreation spaces; it is governed by a president and a board of trustees, with an academic senate guiding curricular matters. UL is accredited by the regional accrediting body and adheres to national higher education standards.
