Ultraljudsförmågor refers to the ability of certain animals to produce and perceive ultrasonic sound waves. These sound waves are at frequencies above the typical range of human hearing, generally considered to be above 20,000 Hertz. This ability allows animals to navigate, communicate, and hunt in their environments, often in ways that are imperceptible to humans.

Bats are perhaps the most well-known example of animals possessing echolocation, a sophisticated form of ultrasound use.
