Töötlemissügavust refers to the depth to which a machining process cuts into a material. It is a critical parameter in manufacturing, influencing factors such as material removal rate, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.

In turning operations, töötlemissügavust is the distance the cutting tool advances into the workpiece from its current position. In milling, it represents the depth of the cut taken by the rotating cutter. This depth is typically measured in millimeters or inches.
