Tætningsvæske
Tætningsvæske, often translated as sealant liquid or tire sealant, is a substance designed to repair punctures in pneumatic tires. It is typically a viscous liquid containing a mixture of polymers, fibers, and other additives. When a tire is punctured by a sharp object, such as a nail or thorn, the tætningsvæske is forced into the hole by the escaping air and the centrifugal force generated by the rotating wheel.
The components within the tætningsvæske react to the air and the damage. The polymers and fibers coagulate
Tætningsvæske can be introduced into a tire in several ways. Some are injected through the valve stem,
