In popular culture, Tyranus is best known as the alias Darth Tyranus, used by the Star Wars character Count Dooku. Dooku is a former Jedi Master who becomes a Sith Lord under Darth Sidious and serves as a political and military leader for the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars.
