Tushunilmaydi

Tushunilmaydi is an Uzbek phrase meaning it is not understood or it is incomprehensible. It is used to indicate that information, text, instructions, or speech cannot be understood, either due to ambiguity, complexity, or unclear presentation. The form is built from the verb tushunmoq (to understand) with a passive/impersonal construction, combined with the negation maydi, placing the statement in the present tense.

Usage in Uzbek ranges from everyday speech to formal writing. It commonly appears when a speaker wants to signal that something needs clarification, simplification, or rephrasing. It can refer to a wide range of material, including written documents, diagrams, or spoken explanations. In many cases, it functions as a prompt for requesting additional clarification rather than a judgment about the listener’s abilities.
