Tuky
Tuky is a term often used in Czech and Slovak to refer to fats. This includes both dietary fats found in food and fats within the body. In a nutritional context, tuky are essential macronutrients that provide energy, aid in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K), and play a role in hormone production and cell membrane structure. They are broadly categorized into saturated, unsaturated (monounsaturated and polyunsaturated), and trans fats, each with different effects on health.
Dietary tuky are found in a wide variety of foods. Sources of healthy unsaturated fats include vegetable
