Trúnaðarboð
Trúnaðarboð is a Faroese term that translates to "confidential invitation" or "private bidding." It refers to a specific procurement process used in the Faroe Islands, particularly by public entities, where tenders or bids are solicited from a limited, pre-selected group of suppliers rather than being publicly advertised. This method is typically employed when the nature of the procurement is deemed sensitive, requires specialized expertise, or when a public tender process is considered impractical or unnecessary for other justifiable reasons.
The purpose of trúnaðarboð is to allow for a more targeted and often quicker procurement. By inviting
