Treebeard

Treebeard is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth legendarium. He is an Ent, a member of a race created to shepherd and guard the forests. Treebeard is the oldest and most honored of the Ents and serves as their chief in Fangorn Forest, a vast and ancient woodland in the northeastern region of Middle-earth. His name in Common Speech is Treebeard; his Entish name is rarely used in the narratives.
