Totoros
Totoros are a group of forest spirits featured in the 1988 animated film My Neighbor Totoro by Studio Ghibli. They are depicted as guardians of a rural forest in Japan, where they befriend two young sisters, Satsuki and Mei, during a period of family transition. The film presents them as gentle, shy beings who appear and vanish with little warning, communicating through gestures and a limited form of expression rather than conventional dialogue.
There are three characterized forms: Ō-Totoro, the largest and gray; Chu-Totoro, medium-sized and blue-gray; and Chibi-Totoro,
In the story, Totoro acts as a benevolent presence that helps the children cope with parental illness
