Tiritiri Matangi is a small island located in the Hauraki Gulf, approximately 30 kilometers northeast of Auckland, New Zealand. It is part of the Tiritiri Matangi Island Reserve, a protected area managed by the Department of Conservation (DOC) in collaboration with the Tiritiri Matangi Island Trust. The island covers an area of around 1,000 hectares and is renowned for its ecological significance and natural beauty.
