Tilesranging refers to the practice of using a series of images, typically photographs or digital renderings, to represent a larger object or scene by breaking it down into smaller, manageable sections. These sections, often square or rectangular, are then arranged in a grid format to form a composite whole. This technique is commonly employed in various fields, including computer graphics, virtual reality, and web design.

In computer graphics, tilesranging is often used to display large textures or environments efficiently. Instead of loading an entire massive image into memory, which can be resource-intensive, the image is divided into tiles. Only the tiles currently visible to the user are loaded and rendered, saving memory and improving performance. This is particularly relevant for video games and 3D rendering applications where vast landscapes or detailed objects need to be displayed.

Virtual reality environments also benefit from tilesranging. To create immersive 360-degree experiences, panoramic images are often broken down into smaller tiles. As the user moves their head or looks around, only the relevant tiles are processed and displayed, providing a smooth and responsive visual experience.

In web design, tilesranging can be used for displaying large images or galleries without overwhelming the user or slowing down page load times. Thumbnail images might be presented in a tiled layout, with users able to click on individual tiles to view larger versions or more detailed information.
