Theoderic
Theoderic, also known as Theodoric the Great, was the king of the Ostrogoths and the ruler of the Ostrogothic Kingdom in Italy. Born circa 454, he rose to power as a leader of the Ostrogoths under the influence of the Eastern Roman Empire and led Gothic forces in Italy, ultimately defeating his rival Odoacer and establishing Gothic rule with Ravenna as his capital. His reign in Italy lasted from about 493 to 526.
