Textiltermék is a term used to describe any product whose primary materials are textiles. In practice it encompasses a wide range of goods intended for personal use, household use, or industrial applications, including clothing, bedding, towels, curtains and upholstery fabrics, as well as many technical textiles used in sectors such as automotive, construction or filtration.

Textiles can be natural (cotton, wool, silk, linen), regenerated (viscose, lyocell) or synthetic (polyester, nylon, polypropylene), and many products use blends. Fabrics are produced as woven, knitted, or nonwoven structures. Manufacturing covers fiber preparation, spinning, fabric formation, dyeing and finishing, and final quality control. After production, textiles are often labeled with fiber content, country of origin, and care instructions. Some textiles also bear sustainability certifications such as GOTS or OEKO-TEX.

Regulatory frameworks vary by jurisdiction but commonly include product safety rules and labeling requirements. In the European Union, textile labeling and information on composition are standard elements of consumer protection and trade, while global supply chains emphasize environmental and social responsibility. Brands and manufacturers may also adopt standards and certifications to communicate performance, safety and ethical practices to consumers.

Market and usage: The textile product sector is large and diverse, spanning raw material production, yarn and fabric manufacturing, and final goods such as apparels, home textiles, and technical textiles. Ongoing challenges include environmental impact, chemical safety, and supply chain transparency, with certifications and standards guiding performance and sustainability.
