Teleoperaatioon

Teleoperation refers to the remote control of machines, vehicles, or other systems from a distance. This technology allows operators to perform tasks in environments that may be hazardous, inaccessible, or otherwise unsuitable for direct human intervention. Teleoperation is widely used in various fields, including space exploration, underwater exploration, hazardous material handling, and military applications.

The basic components of a teleoperation system include a master control station, a communication link, and a slave or remote manipulator. The master control station is operated by a human, who sends control commands through the communication link to the slave manipulator. The slave manipulator then executes the commands, often with feedback sent back to the operator to enhance control and precision.

Teleoperation can be categorized into different types based on the level of autonomy and the nature of the tasks performed. Bilateral teleoperation involves two-way communication, where the operator receives force and position feedback from the remote system. Unilateral teleoperation, on the other hand, involves one-way communication, with the operator sending commands but not receiving feedback.
