Sügavtõmbamine, known in English as deep drawing, is a manufacturing process used to shape sheet metal into a hollow or cup-shaped object. This is achieved by forcing a workpiece into a die cavity by a punch. The process typically involves a die, a punch, and a blank holder. The blank holder applies pressure to the perimeter of the sheet metal blank to prevent wrinkling during the drawing operation.
