Sähkösinkitty
Sähkösinkitty, also known as electrogalvanizing or electroplating with zinc, is a surface finishing process used to protect metal parts, most commonly steel, from corrosion. This method involves immersing the object to be coated into an electrolytic solution containing zinc ions. An electric current is then passed through the solution, causing the zinc ions to deposit onto the surface of the object, forming a thin, uniform layer of zinc.
The thickness of the zinc coating can be controlled by adjusting factors such as the current density,
While sähkösinkitty offers good protection, it is generally not as durable or corrosion-resistant as thicker zinc
