Szoftverközpontú

Szoftverközpontú (software-centric) is a term used in Hungarian to describe an organizational or architectural orientation in which software capabilities are the primary source of value and competitive advantage, rather than hardware or physical components. The word is formed from szoftver (software) and központú (centered).

In practice, a szoftverközpontú approach emphasizes software development processes, cloud-native platforms, modular architectures such as microservices, well-defined APIs, and continuous delivery. It favors platform thinking, data-driven decision making, and a culture of experimentation and rapid iteration. User experience and service ecosystems are prioritized, with software often meeting or enabling business models and customer outcomes.

It is frequently contrasted with hardware-centric approaches, which prioritize the physical device, machinery, or hardware constraints. Szoftverközpontú strategies can be found in consumer electronics, where software layers define features after hardware, in enterprise software and cloud services, and in digital products that rely on APIs and integrations.

Challenges include the need for skilled software engineering talent, robust software architecture, security and compliance considerations, and managing dependency on external software platforms.
