Systémové

Systémový is a Czech adjective derived from the word systém (system) with the suffix -ový. It describes something that belongs to, relates to, or affects a system as a whole, rather than being limited to a single part or local element. The term is used across various domains to indicate a systemic or integrated character.

In use, systémový often denotes properties, problems, or processes that are distributed across a system. It is common in information technology, engineering, management, and social sciences to speak of systémový problém (a system-wide problem), systémový proces (a system process), or systémová architektura (system architecture). The exact phrasing can vary by context, including feminine or neuter nouns, such as systémová pravidla (system rules) or systémové nastavení (system settings).

The sense of systémový is sometimes contrasted with related terms. Systemic or systemic-like meanings are also expressed in Czech by the word systemický, which is widely used in medical, biological, and scientific contexts to denote effects or diseases that involve the entire body or a larger network. Systematický, on the other hand, means methodical or organized according to a plan, and is not the same as systémový. In practice, context determines which form is appropriate, and overlaps can occur between system-wide, systemic, and methodical usage.
