Suorem is a coastal city-state in the fictional continent of Neldor, established for speculative fiction and world-building exercises. It sits on a peninsular coast at the mouth of the Varn River along the Eris Gulf, with a natural harbor that has long facilitated trade. The terrain includes sheltered bays, low hills, and terraced farmlands. The population is about 1.2 million, and the official language is Suorean; Common is widely spoken, with pockets of Elaric and other regional languages.

History: Founded around 1082 AE by the Merchant-Engineers of the Canteran League, Suorem developed as a trading and shipbuilding hub. It achieved formal independence in 1649 and later diversified into industry and technology during the late 19th and 20th centuries. After regional reforms in the 1990s, it expanded digital services and renewable energy capacity.

Politics and economy: Suorem operates as a constitutional republic headed by a Governor-President and a 120-member Legislative Assembly. Elections are multi-party. The economy is diversified: maritime trade and port logistics, shipbuilding, machinery, software services, and wind energy. The currency is the sol.
