Stativmontagen refers to the process of attaching equipment, most commonly cameras, telescopes, or lighting, to a tripod or other stabilizing stand. This is a crucial step for achieving stable and clear images, especially in photography and videography where camera shake can lead to blurry results. The specific type of stativmontage employed depends heavily on the equipment being mounted and the intended use. For a standard DSLR camera, a quick-release plate system is often used.
