In practice, it is expressed as two timestamps: a start time (Startzeit) and an end time (Endzeit). The concept appears in many contexts, including scheduling, event planning, data logging, and media playback, where precise timing determines duration and the window of activity.

Formats and usage: StartEndzeit is commonly represented in ISO 8601, for example 2025-01-01T09:00:00Z to 2025-01-01T10:30:00Z, though local times with explicit time zones are also widely used. In calendars, it defines the duration of events; in logs, it marks when a event or transaction occurred; in data analysis, it sets the sampling window. Validation rules typically require end_time to be after or equal to start_time and may enforce a minimum duration.
