Standardidena

Standardidena is a proposed open standard for digital identity in decentralized networks. It aims to provide a common framework for identity creation, attestation, and verification to enable interoperability across diverse platforms and ecosystems. While it draws conceptual inspiration from projects that emphasize user control and human verification, standardidena is intended to function across blockchains and traditional systems alike.

The standard covers core concepts such as decentralized identifiers (DIDs), verifiable credentials, and verifiable proofs. It defines a credential schema, supports optional biometric or human-verification attestations, and promotes privacy-preserving techniques such as selective disclosure and zero-knowledge proofs. It also outlines credential lifecycle management, including revocation, expiration, and renewal, to maintain trust over time. The architecture is designed to be technology-agnostic, enabling interoperability between different identity providers, wallets, and service platforms.

Technically, standardidena describes a layered model with an identity layer for DID operations and credential issuance, a credential layer for defining and issuing attestations, and a verification layer for proof checking and policy compliance. It encourages a conformance program with test suites and reference implementations in multiple languages to help developers build interoperable solutions.

Governance and development are intended to be community-driven, with an open standards council, public repositories, and regular revisions to address security, privacy, and regulatory considerations. Adoption is at an early stage, with ongoing discussions about trade-offs between portability, user consent, data minimization, and the complexity of implementing interoperable identity systems.
