Standardhållare

Standardhållare is a Swedish term referring to a device or person that holds a standard, such as a flag or banner, in ceremonial or display settings. As a device, a standardhållare is typically a stand or clamp that secures the vertical staff of a standard and keeps it upright. As a role, it denotes the bearer or handler who carries or presents the standard during processions and official ceremonies.

Design and construction vary by use. Mechanical stands for desks, podiums, or display cases are often made of metal or wood and include a weighted base or fixation to prevent tipping. Portable stands may feature expandable clamps and adjustable poles to accommodate different flag sizes. For ceremonial or historical displays, standardhållare components are chosen to protect the textile and maintain the flag’s presentation, sometimes using padded supports or acid-free mounts.

Applications are diverse.
