SpO2arvosta is a term that refers to the measurement of oxygen saturation in the blood, commonly displayed as SpO2. This measurement indicates the percentage of hemoglobin in the blood that is carrying oxygen. Normal SpO2 levels typically range from 95% to 100%.

The SpO2 value is usually obtained non-invasively using a device called a pulse oximeter. This small device clips onto a fingertip, earlobe, or toe and uses light to measure the amount of oxygenated hemoglobin. The reading is then displayed numerically, often alongside a pulse rate.

Low SpO2 levels, known as hypoxemia, can indicate various underlying medical conditions. These can include respiratory diseases such as pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or asthma. Heart conditions that affect blood circulation can also lead to reduced oxygen saturation. In some cases, a temporary drop in SpO2 can occur due to factors like high altitude or strenuous physical activity.

Monitoring SpO2 is a common practice in healthcare settings, especially for patients with respiratory or cardiac issues, or during surgical procedures. It provides a quick and easy way to assess a person's oxygenation status. While generally reliable, pulse oximeters can sometimes be affected by factors like poor circulation, nail polish, or cold extremities, which may lead to inaccurate readings.
