Soutènement

Soutènement refers to the process of holding back soil or rock mass to prevent it from collapsing or moving. This is a crucial aspect of civil engineering and construction, particularly in situations where excavations are made or where natural slopes are unstable. The primary goal of soutènement is to maintain the stability of the ground and protect adjacent structures or infrastructure.
