Sormenjälkilukijoilla
Sormenjälkilukijoilla, often translated as fingerprint readers or scanners, are biometric devices used for authentication. They work by capturing and analyzing the unique patterns of ridges and valleys on a person's fingertip. This data is then converted into a digital template. When a user attempts to access a system or device, the sormenjälkilukija captures a new fingerprint image, compares it to the stored template, and grants access if there is a match.
These devices are commonly found in smartphones, laptops, security systems, and even for physical access control
There are several types of fingerprint scanning technologies, including optical scanners, capacitive sensors, and ultrasonic readers.
