SmartOpenBlock

SmartOpenblock is an open-source, hardware platform designed for educational and DIY applications. It is a combination of a robotic platform and a programming board, intended for use in robotics, automation, and other STEM-related projects. The term "SmartOpenBlock" is often used interchangeably with its first commercially released unit, the L3BR, launched by the company BlueBots Robotics.

Developed by the team led by Davide Zoni and Luca Martino, SmartOpenBlock's key feature is its comprehensive hardware components and software tools. The platform incorporates various modules and sensors, including motors, LEDs, and GPS, and offers a development environment with drag-and-drop tools for users with little to no experience in programming.

SmartOpenblock was revamped and renamed "L3EV" by a different company in 2014, lifting this name to popularize it. The Smart model has a larger subset.
