Slutdokument

Slutdokument is a term used in project management and procurement to denote the final documentation package produced to close a project, contract, or program. It serves as the official record of completion and accountability, providing evidence that deliverables have been completed, accepted, and handed over to the client or operations team. The purpose is to support governance, compliance, future maintenance, and organizational learning.

The contents of a slutdokument vary by sector and project, but commonly include the final deliverables verification, acceptance certificates, and a record of approvals. It typically contains financial closure documents such as the final budget reconciliation and last invoices, as well as summary information on risk and issue closure, change orders, and contract closures. Other elements can include asset registers, warranty terms, maintenance or support agreements, as-built drawings or software releases, test results, and compliance or audit trails. Handover materials, user manuals, training summaries, and archival metadata are often included to ease future operation and preservation.

Process and governance involve preparing the slutdokument near the end of a project or contract, followed by formal review and sign-off by key stakeholders. Once approved, the package is stored in a document management system or archives and may be used for audits, regulatory reporting, or knowledge capture.
