Skorokhodrom
Skorokhodrom is a term found in informal discussions of stochastic processes to denote a hypothetical generalization of the Skorokhod reflection problem. It does not correspond to a widely accepted definition in the mathematical literature, and its use is mainly exploratory or pedagogical. In these contexts, Skorokhodrom is introduced as a framework for thinking about constrained diffusion under more flexible or dynamic boundary conditions.
The name draws on the Skorokhod reflection principle, named after Anatolii Skorokhod, and the -rom suffix is
In the Skorokhodrom-inspired viewpoint, a stochastic process Xt evolves within a constrained domain D. When Xt
