Skistöcke
Skistöcke, or ski poles, are long cylindrical shafts used by skiers to aid balance, propulsion and timing. A typical pole consists of a shaft, a handle or grip, a strap that secures the hand, a tip that contacts the snow, and a snow basket near the tip to prevent excessive sinking in soft conditions.
