Sisäpinnoitusmenetelmässä

Sisäpinnoitusmenetelmässä, often translated as internal coating method or relining, is a trenchless rehabilitation technique used for repairing underground pipelines without excavation. This method involves inserting a new pipe liner into the existing damaged pipe. The liner is typically made of a flexible material, such as fiberglass or resin-impregnated felt, and is cured in place, forming a seamless, structural pipe within the old one.

The process begins with cleaning and inspecting the existing pipeline to assess the extent of damage and prepare the surface for the liner. Access points are established at either end of the section to be repaired. The liner, pre-impregnated with resin or made of a resin-saturated material, is then pulled or inverted into the host pipe. Once in position, it is expanded and cured, often using hot water, steam, or UV light. Curing hardens the resin, creating a strong, jointless, and durable new pipe that adheres to the inside of the original structure.

Sisäpinnoitusmenetelmässä is advantageous as it minimizes disruption to the surface, reduces environmental impact, and is often more cost-effective than traditional open-cut repair methods. It is commonly used for repairing sewer lines, water mains, and industrial pipelines that have suffered from corrosion, cracking, or joint failure. The new liner effectively restores the pipe's structural integrity and hydraulic capacity.
