Simiens
The Simiens, also known as the Simien Mountains, are a rugged highland mountain range in northern Ethiopia, within the Amhara region and part of the Ethiopian Highlands. They lie on a high plateau with elevations ranging from about 2,500 to 4,550 meters above sea level, and are famed for dramatic escarpments, deep gorges, and striking scenery that contributes to one of Africa’s most distinctive landscapes.
